National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month

In July, we honor national minority mental health awareness month. This is a time where we acknowledge the unique experiences of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, & People of Color) as well as the disparities in mental health treatment and service for these groups. Because mental illness is associated with weakness, lack of faith, or “White” behavior, many individuals from these groups experiencing mental health suffer in silence.
